Here I am thinking of everything other than standard troubleshooting. It will be a few hours before I get back home and then I can check this out.

I switched from my desktop for just a little bit. It is a LENOVO. There is a crackle pop type of noise. usb connected mic. Wondering if I need to upgrade the soundcard. Any ideas?

Good comments all. One question about the software is whether or not it is detrimental to the entire audio. A 40 min track is a lot to de-click.

Glad I took a moment to watch and listen. I felt every moment.

For me there is trouble with mouth noise when I have coffee before recording. Each morning I have at least two cups before I start. Not gonna quit either.

I personally spend tons of time editing my audiobooks. Sheesh! Somehow I learn slowly.

I am still using the free audacity DAW and the link mentioned above takes you to the discussion about it. All I do is VO and sometimes simple music or sounds are added so there has no pressure to use ...
