I was planning on buying the JK AutoHybrid, because the descrip sounded good and the price is right...now this thread makes me wonder if that's a good idea.

Hey Anthony,
Thanks for asking-I have things partially worked out. I have the 'overdriven/distortion issue' worked out thanks to Kevin, but I'm
still experiencing the wierd electronic pops occasionally that definitely
need to be worked out. I can tolerate them, but they actually show
up in the recording and that of course, is a no-no. I have some PT engineer
friends whom have helped me many times over the years that I plan on
bugging..er...I mean asking about this in greater length. One commented
that it may be related to a 'clock' issue within PT? Hard to believe that
is the case, since I do not have these issues when I'm not using the phone
patch.
Thanks to you guys, I did have my earpiece back-up plan and it worked great. The phone patch was about $150 and it's literally been used twice
now without success and I plan on getting the $#% thing to work!
