Lee, Nelson, Todd, Edo, Caryn, Bob, Moe, Imagninator-You are all too Cool! Thank you. I finally got here today after I finally got my celebratory orange cake into the oven. Yes, Liz... Orange cake has been my favorite ever since I can remember. Since one doesn't readily find it at the store, I've created my own variation based on white cake in the box, to which I add the usual eggs, oil, a box of vanilla instant pudding mix, freshly grated orange rind, and its orange juice, a tad of Cointreau Liquer...and now the lovely aroma is beginning to fill the kitchen.
I am very thankful to all my friends here, the wonderful support, learning, laughing, sharing, caring, & sticking together through great and not so great times. I wish I could eat cake with all of you today!
And CC... I remember that little trick. Mary the thought of chocolate cake with raspberry filling sounds like a great Valentine's day dessert I'll plan on. Pete's fave. Connie. How sweet. I'll call you about the play.
I'll post a pic of "THE CAKE" after its decorated and prior to demolishing.
