Got to the airport with Philip not too long ago, and I am spending the night at the across-the-parking-lot hotel. Quite posh, with the most EXPENSIVE INTERNET fees EVAR. 8Pound for 1 HOUR.
I'll have to make this quick.
It was so intensely cool to meet Stefania! I saw Simon (Limey) at the speed-networking event, David Montheath is even more charming that you could imagine and looks splendid in a kilt, Banksey looks spiff in Black, Bob Souer charms all the ladies, And there was another new VO-BB fellow there whose name escapes me, so I'm sorry!
My voice is tired. I'm tired. Travel is nuts-o, but fun. Pix in a minute. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

At the airport it would appear that internet fees are £1 for 10 mins but that includes a PC but no hotel room. As I type DB is sitting about 500 yards from me. I leave for Aberdeen in 20 minutes or so.
Vox was fabby and Bob's new sideline "Hot totty taxis" may prove a winner although his executive Chauffeur service may only be available to Sarah Parnell - Note to Eric "There are certain things Mom's DON'T Need to know.
Business? A few demos collected by producers so ....ya never know! |

Deirdre,
Mike Cooper is his name and I'm so sorry I didn't get a minute to say hello to Simon. I didn't realize he was there.
Here's another photo of a group of us, me, Philip, David and Lindsay Monteath and Deirdre, from left to right.
I'm not quite sure what "hot totty" service Philip mentions just above, but Sarah Parnell was wonderful company for my trip back to the South of England. Here's a photo of our breakfast this morning with Deirdre, Philip and Sarah.
My frequent travels have provided me an upgraded executive room at the Gatwick Hilton and access to free Internet service in the executive lounge, access to same is free with my upgraded room. I guess there's at least some benefit to traveling so much in the last few years.
Truly it was great fun. I'm hopeful that a few producers call with work. A few said they would strongly consider it, so that's a hopeful sign. If they do this will certainly have been a profitable trip. _________________ Be well,

Great photos!! Everyone looks like their having a fun time, and hopefully the trip will prove to be profitable for all. However, I see that the British are still serving cardboard toast for breakfast. Leave it to me to be always checking out the food. |

If you see Bob's first set of photo you'll get an answer to the question "what could Philip Banks wear around his kneck on a Saturday night to make himself look attractive?" ..........
...Elisa Canas.
On the culture side of things and maintaining my reputation for never staying for too long. Tourist Cooper was taken to Warwick for a quick walk around the Castle before going to Vox. Post Vox, Sunday late morning into the afternoon we visited Stratford-Upon-Avon to see Shakespeare's birthplace, hear the tale of the Puriton Francis Gastrell's contribution to history by destroying the Bards New House in Chapel St and then to Kenilworth Castle ........oh the adventure! |

Here are some more piccies gang! It was so fab to finally meet DB, Philip and Bob. Yayyyyy!
Here's the Class picture! Vox 2009
And the guy on the right stuffing his face with chips (yum!), is Mike Cooper. The chap on the left is a VO named David.
I arrived at the event via a couple of trains, ending up in a town called Leamington Spa, and then a short bus ride to the hotel. I spent the morning walking around Leamington Spa. It's a beautiful little village. Here's a piccie from the Jephson gardens -- with flowers in full bloom!
I met many producers during the speed networking event. Fingers crossed for some VO action! _________________ Intuit and do it!

V123 sponsored a table at Vox, there was a free place for every client who had posted a job for $125 of more.
As you can see, everyone showed up and boy can they party.
