Lou,
Thanks for that. I've been searching for an alternative to Quickbooks for a long time. Not that I don't like Quickbooks, but as you detailed in your earlier post, there are things about the way we get herded in to upgrades that I don't appreciate. I'm going to check this out for sure. _________________ Be well,

I've been meaning to give it a go myself but simply haven't had the time to mess with it yet. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Thank Lou, I just downloaded it to try too. I have been using MS Money for a few years. Too bad. _________________ Gregory Best

I've been TRYING to get Office accounting installed for days, but it's having a conflict with some phantom version of SQL server.
Meanwhile I've got this big pretty version of Quickbooks Premier, but I can't use it because all my records are in a trial version of Money (which expires in 3 days) and I can't convert Money files into Quickbooks without Office Accounting (which won't install) or Quicken (which I don't own and can't get a free trial of) and I can't really buy the full version of Money knowing that it won't be supported in the future.

Jeff, do you have VWD 2008 Express Edition installed? That could be where the SQL install came from. Of course, it could have come from just about any db-using a I suppose, but I know that it comes with the aforementioned software (although, that said, it's never caused me any issues).
Also any trial / Beta software you have might have a squirrelly install of SQL / SQL Express, so that would be another place to look, if it turns out to be something that you can dump. _________________ Lou Zucaro

I got it to install. It was choking on a previous install of MSXML 6. Some registry tweaks and I was able to install it.
Initial reaction: sloooow. Because it uses SQL, you'll need a fairly beefy computer to get any decent speed. It's also highly married to Office, so for invoices and stuff, you'll need Office templates. _________________ Jeff
