Aloha Gang,
When I am using Audacity, it seems to take a good 10 or 15 seconds to begin recording once I press record.
Is there a way to change this?

What is your computer?
How many programs or background services do you have running simultaneously?
What is your soundcard/audio interface?
Are you saving temp files or recordings to an external hard drive?

Thank you for your reply. I discovered the Audacity forum after I posted here. What the problem was, was a setting preferences....the forum post said to "de-select" the software play through feature. Well it WAS de-selected so I selected it...and it works just fine now.
I think the folks at Audacity have been tweaking.
