More from the compost paparazzi: my tools of mass leaf destruction.
Actually, if you look closely at the rake you'll note that it's barely still a tool at all. I've probably had the thing for more than 20 years and it wasn't unti last weekend that I noticed I had worn the little curved ends of the tines completely off. It was like raking leaves with a fork.
The red machine the dead rake is leaning against is also about 20 years old. It's my Flowtron CS-1000A Chipp'r Shredd'r Mulch'r. (Apparently Flowtron had some aversion to the letter "e.") If somebody else had been operating this loud, obnoxious machine whilst I was attempting to voiceoverize, I might have become prone to violence.

You don't wish for things like rakes; you just go out and buy them. Fifteen bucks at the Borg (a/k/a Home Depot). And it's steel, not bamboo. Should last me 'til my raking days are over.
