Hey guys, infrequent poster but longtime lurker.

No discussion about his new mic? I have been pimping it kind of hard since he is a friend and I am fairly impressed with the idea and the quality of the mic, especially considering the price. Thoughts? _________________ Erik Sheppard - "Today's Voice"

I've got one, as soon as I have the time to run it through its paces I will let y'all know. My buddy Dan Lenard loves the thing, gives his TLM103 a run for its money. It's an MXL manufactured mic, tuned to Harlan's specifications. It's pretty "warm" in character, not aggressive or edgy. I may be including it in a package on my website pretty soon. For $200 with shockmount and cable, it's a very nicely priced package. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Harlan's got big plans! He's also coming out with a new and improved pro-level version of his Porta-Booth. Also in the pipeline: a Porta-Stand or Porta-Wall for those who want to stand up and may want to use a floor mic stand or boom arm approach.

Harlan is a master-marketer, and all of us can learn a lot from his approach to branding:

I'm wanting to get my hands on one as well. Listening to his read that was done with that particular mic I found the sound pretty interesting. I would love to have one here and run it through it's paces.

Might have to send him an email. |
