VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

I've been looking into starting my voice over career for the past few months and afer much studying, researching, and saving $$$ I'm close to chosing a company/coach to go with.

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback for me on Sound Advice out of Chicago. They also have an office in LA.

Thanks for your time and keep up the great work! I have learned so much already and I hope to not be so dormant around here.

Welcome aboard! Happy to have you here. While I did live in Chicago for a stretch, I'm afraid I can't offer any thoughts on the Sound Advice people/service, but I'm sure someone here will know them.

The one thing I can comment on, though, is your booth. From what I can see in your profile pic, I suggest upgrading the walls. Thin rope mesh went out a few years ago. If you can spring for chain link, I think you'll be happier with the results. Wink

Thanks Justin! I've been meaning to upgrade to the chain link but I've had to cut back with the holidays approaching. It does stay quite cool in the summer though.

By the way, great stuff on your website! I'm really like the design/layout of it too.

I spoke with a VO talent friend based in Chicago who said that Kate Maclahan is expensive but reputable.

It was suggested that you may also want to check out Sherri Berger, Jeff Lupetin and The Actors Studio as well.

I think attending the VU VO Chicago meet up is a fab idea! Enjoy!
