For those who have the malady "gear-itis" these microphones might give some relief.

And, YES, some of the microphones (The Korby KAT, Horsch, and the NU-47) have lights inside them...

My fave is the NU-47 Microphone Project. Show yours.

It sounds wonderful.

I'm partial to the Craigslist "Anyone can do voice-overs" mic:

It's the paint job is all. It was on a post on GS. It looks nice for an re20 but I would like to have seen it done like the Crowley.

I often wonder if colors of a mic might help with the creative process at times...or would it just be in the way?

If they were colors that inspired you. Maybe custom colors for each their own color.

Best cure for gearitis:

Adding up expenses when doing annual taxes. Ouch! Ninja

BTW speaking of the gear sickness, I am down to two (2) mics:

Senn 416 and Gefell M930. Possible long-term goal= another U87 but that is LOOONG term.

VO's Pete Turbiville, and his son Chris who I've gotten to know, both manufacture tube mics in the style of the U47 and the M7 and they are pretty. Here's a photo of the "Pearl" model:

The "Ruby", kind of a candy apple burgundy color is a stunner.

Here's their site: http://peteturbiville.com/Tmics.html
