For folks that do on-cam stuff... I'm thinking about including one on my voice demos page. Just curious if anyone's done this and if so how they went about it.

Thanks!

Tom,

You would need to convert your video format to Flash Video. You do it with a plug in on Final Cut if you use that. After it's in the Flash Video format you can add to your site. Those with out-of-date machines and less recent updates of Flash Player may not be able to see it.

Hope that helps.

I produced a trailer for my doc and converted to flash. HERE
only issue I've had with it is IE doesn't default to "show all" which isn't an issue except for the end graphic looks off center. click on it, to activate controls, then right click and show all and everything is fine.

Haven't technically done it for VO yet but I guess that qualifies. Wink

I just have a Quicktime video file of my acting reel on there for now.

I hope to add more clips as time goes on. I guess Flash is the way to go eventually.

I've had video on my site for years:

www.Announcing.biz

I'm also experimenting with HD video (I posted this site last week);

www.hd-vo.com

With everyone getting high-bandwidth connections, video makes perfect sense.

thanks Tom,

I used a free Turbine video encoder for the flash, but will be purchasing the AVS video converter, does more, costs less. Wink

one of your video clips?

Because the final product was a CD training project and at the time, I didn't have the tools to rip it and grab a small piece for my demo, so I used the producer's window dub.

I guess I could now, but it would still mean finding time with a friend (or actually pay for someone) who has ProTools or a Media 100 and redoing the whole thing, so I figured that it doesn't really matter.

Really hot here today in San Diego. Trying to cool down the studio a bit in order to do some recording, but that may be a lost cause today - have to have the air and fans off when I record, so it may be either play-time or invoicing and paying bills....hmmmm.
