Can anyone recommend reliable video conversion software for Mac? I've got one lonely video to convert and everybody wants $35 for the privilege, and I'm not sure who I can trust. I'm using a non-Intel PowerPC Mac.
Thanks!

I have Handbrake, but it doesn't recognize the WMV files (it just won't load them) while it takes many other formats.

Hey, Bruce,
The easiest way I know of to do it is using Quicktime Pro with the Flip4Mac plug-in. Unfortunately, this requires Quicktime Pro v7, the version prior to Snow Leopard. (Long story of Apple idiocy here which I'll skip.)
Anyhow, if you want, I can do the conversion for you. Just Dropbox (or whatever) the original WMV and I'll return an MP4 or Quicktime or whatever.

I think Mpeg Streamclip can convert from wmv. http://www.squared5.com/ I'm sure I've converted from wmv on it before... Even if it can't it's still a useful program! |
