I'm a happy customer of Warren Den't Zen Audio (just got my Golden Age Pre-73 w TT mod there, and love it so much I sold my Speck 5.0 and pocketed some cash...). I just got an e-mail today with a sale that I just have to share.

I have found AT mics to be an overall excellent value.
Don't have mine anymore, but not cuz they weren't good---just had to make some tough love gear-a-holic purges..... |

I'll do even better than that for anyone interested in an Audio Technica 4050 mic. Got it a few weeks ago, and all I've really done is drive it off the showroom floor and put a couple miles on it, so obviously it's just like new.
I've tested it through a Grace 101, Blue Robbie and Symetrix, and it sounds very good on all. I was looking for a mic that would give me a different kind of sound than what I have already, and this mic sounds just too similar. I actually want darker and more character. This thing is quite clear and transparent with a nice little punch to it.
If you've had your eye on one of these, drop me a private message and I'll make you what I think is a great deal for a barely used mic (of course, orig box and all that stuff is included.)
Also have a Blue Robbie tube pre for sale...same thing applies with it...mint condition, barley used, original packaging, etc. |
