in an effort to spend less time on the computer i have deleted my facebook account. should you need to contact me i am available via; email, telephone (land line or cell), website contact page, western union telegraph, post card, or lengthy hand-penned letter ... oh, and of course, the vo-bb.

(Actually, I want everyone on Facebook. I like being able to keep track of people all in one place. It's like a giant, self-updating address book. I've been trying to Collect the Whole Set.

I too find the social media such a time drain. I seldom have time to keep up with this place. I haven't turned on my desktop PC in several days. I times I feel like trading in my Blackberry for a conventional cell phone. I feel shackled by technology.

I'm staying with FB, although I must admit I don't frequent the place much anymore. Big time drain. And I refuse to do the fan page thing. It's OK, and sometimes not. Ambivalent mood here.

I like FB for staying in touch with distant family members and reconnecting with old schoolmates and friends. I turn off feeds from the vast majority of other folks, though, and probably only check it once or twice a day for maybe a minute each time, so it's not nearly as big of a time-hog for me as these darned v/o forums are!
