I just read an article the other day that said desktop and laptop computers as we know them will gradually disappear from the market, that netbooks, tablets and phones will rule....that may be a sharp prediction.

I guess as memory gets smaller and faster with less (or no) moving parts, there will be less need for a big old box of any kind.

What's next? A chip in the brain wired to your hearing and sight nerves? There are already beginning gadgets like that for the impaired....soon the rest of us? Hmmmm.
