So (businesswise) it's like Erik's mixer, only over there.
I'd love to go but this year's travel budget has been allocated to Faffcon2 and the subsequent vacation in South Florida. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Not exactly like Eric's as there will be a lot of buyers as well as sellers at VOX and of the VOs most will be VOs as in "Did a few, paid ISDN sessions yesterday" as opposed to "did a session in June and my coach was very pleased with it". Not being elitist or disagreeable, but as you'll appreciate there is a difference. |

I went in... I think it was 2005 or 2004. My wife and I went, and My dad showed up as well. It was a good time, and let me tell you.... VOX does party all night and the breakfast the next day at the hotel was funny watching all the folks who got smashed walk in like zombies.
I'm about 90% sure I'll be there this year. Just working out some other travel details.
It's fun and a good place to make "real" business connects for some real VO work. |

I remember meeting your Dad! Very nice man.
VOX is intense and business to some extent does git done.
I noticed at VOICE2010 apart from the "you've been sold the idea of coming to a place where you will be sold something else" that almost everyone I encountered (VOs) could not focus on their businesses.
The panel on the Saturday morning upon which I sat with some fellow VO-BBers was essentially about how to get up on a Monday morning and do the business. The majority of the 8 or so people who attended having been confronted with cold hard commercial reality were quickly able to get back on track by attending the next panel which involved worshipping at the altar of Joe Cipriano et al, then presumably going to buy a mic mount sprinkled with accoustically correct Fairy Dust followed by sigbing up for a two week Iranian Double pause Masterclass with Suki Pang the voice of TitchyTushie the "straight to season cancelled" Anime. |

I might be heading over that way with my Mom for a week. Working on the details. Looking forward to it! _________________ Pam Tierney

There's a nice venue in LEISCESTER? Good Indian food though... _________________ Perry Anne Norton VO

I appear to have all my ducks in a row. Flights, hire car, meet ups and yesterday the final link in the chain was booking VOX2011 - All done.
I fly to London on the morning of 19th May and spend two days charging around like a chargie thing. At some point after luncheon on Saturday 21st the hire car will be pointed at Hinckley and so to VOX.
Sunday will be a mellow time as I don't have be back at Heathrow until around 1730.
It'll be a fine time! |

The thought of not being able to just jet over for this is despressing. I will have to keep myself occupied with learning the routines for my tap and musical theater dance classes. _________________ Playing for a living...

I loved my VOX trip in 2009— it was just wicked jolly to meet so many new people and to see some otherwise imaginary friends.
Spending some tourist time with Philip was the capper.
It was just insanely great to be in England. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I booked my flight and my registration for VOX today. I'll be staying over one additional night at the hotel where VOX is being held because making my flight back home on Sunday was too tight of a turn-around so I'll be leaving on Monday morning. I'm looking forward to seeing all who will be there. _________________ Be well,
