...that of the vaunted audiobook category.
This is my first attempt at the audiobooks, and I'd appreciate any input anyone is willing to give.
... that is if anyone can tell me how to post an audio file on here.... _________________ Jody Silvers

I recommend posting audio at soundcloudd and just linking it here. _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow

coupla things:
1) Watch the diction. "Sentences" was pronounced as "senetzes". While audiobooks are not always over-articulated, still have to watch out for lazy speech patterns.
2) It sounds like it's compressed and EQ and all that, like a commercial. Dry is your friend in audiobooks.
3) I only got a few minutes into it (it's rather long) and then started skipping around, looking for some dialogue. Couldn't find any. If that's indeed the case, then you've only got a small part of what should be included in a demo. You really need to showcase dialogue between 2 people, ideally between a man and a woman. That way we can gauge how you transition between narrator/man/woman.
4) Your narrator sounded fine, good pacing. But a little monotone. I understand this is from the perspective of an old dog, who may not be excited about much of anything, but then perhaps this piece isn't the best way to showcase your abilities.
I'd love to hear more, something that really stretches your acting chops. _________________ Jeff
