I was IN Hollywood when Frankie Goes To Hollywood was getting monster airplay on KROQ.
I remember this tune, too-- I may need to get a greatest hits album now. I'm overwhelmed with grand musical nostalgia.
PB-- I am being honest. No jokes here-- and thanks for posting that article. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Boy do I remember that. I'm going to have to go home and dust that cd off.

I hadn't realised ol' Lantern Jaw had died. There seems to have been very little coverage in the UK press for someone who was such a fine actor and an instantly recognisable voice.
Frankie GTH producer Trevor Horn gave an interview a few years ago about Patrick's VO session for "Two Tribes". There was some concern that a clause in the Offical Secrets Act associated with his voicing of the "Protect & Survive" films may cause problems, but Patrick brushed this aside as his keen-ness to lend his voice to what was a controversial record at the time outweighed any stick the authorities could throw at him.
Sad news. |
