The Illinois family farm is about 5000 rpm's slower than your typical Vegas day.

People vibrate at a different rate there -- and so did I for a week....

'not sure how I'm going to get back in the groove....but I'd better figure out a way to do it fast...I'm way behind on my auditions, and Tuesday is Primary Election day in the newsroom We've got 20 people running for Sheriff (Chief of Police, basically) here in So. NV.

...'know y'all missed me...and wondered where I was.

I know I wondered.

Glad to see your field of dreams.
Glad to know you're back OK.

Sometimes you need to stand in a cornfield... and remember what life is all about.
But going from Las Vegas to a cornfield?... must be like jumping from a freight train!

Yes, indeed. Very familiar looking.

Sometimes you can actually hear the corn grow. At night the insect noises are a symphony, but I can do without the mosquitoes and gnats. Life there is definitely at a much slower pace. It was very boring for me after 19 years of growing up in Ottawa, Illinois -- a town of 18,000 -- surrounded by corn and soybean field. Both the Illinois and Fox rivers run through town and the countryside is very flat. It is one of the many reasons I left for the big city. Very little culture, very slow pace and a real back water attitude.

It is nice to go back for a visit, but I couldn't live there anymore.

Actually, it is listed as a Podunk.

Ottawa

Greg,

'know you appreciate why I only go back for a short visit.

Greenville is even smaller than Ottowa, and in the Southern half of Illinois where Chicago is reviled, and the St. Louis Cardinals rule.
