Of course the alternative is to shout .....loudly ....with one accord ....

"Woot! Awesum dood!" Which is much nicer and internet and relationship friendly but it won't really get you anywhere although the illusion is NICE.

For the most part I'm talking about your career and your career growth, your learning and them what you does your learning from.

During your next coaching session with Nancy Wolfson, when she ventures forth with some great voice overist secret respond thus ....

During a Marice Tobias masterclass as she talks about the latest trend YOU simply MUST master, when she pauses for breath, loudly declare ...

"Wadda load of old bollocks!"

Comment on the blog of a marketing expert

"Wadda load of old bollocks!"

Go to the Critique section here and beneath the demo feedback left by someone post ...

"Wadda load of old bollocks!"

When invited to Faffcon 3, refuse because you've decided ....

"Wadda load of old bollocks!"

Conclude that this thread in the opinion of most people has been dismissed as ....

"Wadda load of old bollocks!"

Why on EARTH would you do this, repeatedly do this?

Simple; in your search for the truth, the real value, to teach yourself to think differently and behave differently. To encourage you to obtain evidence of real value, real wisdom, real proof of concept from those you challenge, moreover to let them know that sweeping, mindless generalisations and invented knowledge are worthless to you and to themselves. Those who really know "stuff" will greet your challenge with a laugh and a smile then explain clearly WITH supporting evidence why you are wrong, but you will be surprised how many will simply crumble or get angry, which amounts to the same thing.

Here's how you avoid the cry ...

"Wadda load of old bollocks!"

Do not say what you think, what you believe or what you know. only state what you are able to prove. This works in life as well as work.

Of course you are now expected to do one thing and one thing only - cut n paste to express your opinion of this thread ....

Of course being from LA, the word is "Bullock's." That is to say, the home of fine apparel and shopping. With memories of Marlene Dietrich stepping into the tea room wearing a mens gabardine double breasted suite, with nothing on under the jacket: Stunning the stuffy gloved wearing, floral patterned dressed, bonnet toped old ladies of 1932 into submissive silence, as she just stood there with her originality, beauty and daring. --At least that's what grandma told me.

The point to this story: Be original by being yourself. Of course if you're boring, you won't get invited to the party because the walls already have wallpaper.
