Introducing myself... My name is Rick Riley. I was in radio for over three decades, until, after a successful 15 year run doing a talk show in Miami, with my partner, Suds Coleman [Rick & Suds] like so many, I was 'Clear Channeled'. Having other interests I decided to explore them and ten years later, here I am, living in Portland, OR, and on the VO-BB board, saying, 'Hi, my name is Rick Riley.'

VO is being good to me and it's why I got into radio in the first place. I just got sidetracked into the 'on air' side for about thirty years. But I'm back to my roots now, playing with recording toys and building things like I did when I was a kid. Pro Tools and a pretty nice studio, allows me to do that.

I was pointed in this direction by a good friend of mine, a VO artist for about 15 years. She said, 'check it out... it's different'. So that's what I'm doing.

If you're in Minnesota, you most likely will hear me as I am the commercial voice of the Minnesota Vikings for the 2011-12 season [Show your horns!!!] Here's a spot if you're interested.

That's it... I'll just pull up a chair, and sit over here.

Thanks,
Rick

Rick,

It's great to see you here! You're gonna fit right in!

As a former Miami Clear Channeler myself (Rick and I worked for the same company, but usually in different buildings...I was on WLVE for almost 20 years)
I can tell you that he's good people. The ferrets, however, are a whole 'nother story.

Welcome Rick. Spent a great deal of time in the Pacific Northwest, now in Savannah, I remember hearing the Rick and Suds Show but it's a foggy memory, were you in Spokane? KJRB?

Hi Rick,

Welcome to the VO-BB. While I live in Pittsburgh now, I grew up in MN so am a life-long Vikings fan (which is just one step up on the frustration scale from being a Cubs fan).
