Ladies and Gentlebeings, some of you know me through dear ol Dad Bob Souer, some from Faffcon, and one of the things I do for bread is edit audio. At last weekends Faffcon, one of the things that was suggested to me to improve my ability is to listen to and experiment with more people's voices, as reading styles, equipment, rooms, and so on.
So now we come to the question. Would any of you folks be willing to send me (email me and we can discuss the easiest method for you.) an audio clip of yourself doing whatever (content is unimportant) for me to use as a self teaching tool? Relatively short (10 minutes or less) would be cool, but I'm not picky. This is an area where I know I can be better, and would like to be so.
You can reach me at grippy73@gmail.com, and thanks in advance to anyone who's willing to do this. _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.

i've been doing old sci-fi short stories of varying lengths for a friend of melissa's. would that help you, or do you need something more corporate or commercial? _________________ rowell gormon

Content or style is immaterial. What I'm looking for (perhaps a clarification is in order.) is just different voices to listen to, different voices to understand more about what voices do in the setting of a recording studio. Knowing more about what voices do can help me broaden my experience so that I can have more background when I do get audio to edit from someone for pay. _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.

Hey Karen!
I normally chuck non-edited versions of audio after the final is done.
I can certainly send you already edited audio for a listen if that works for ya!
....even some in French if ya want _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

Liz--sure sure, that's fine, I use dropbox with my email, if you care to share that way, and if not, let me know what would work for you. French would be interesting and useful, although confusing _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.

Nice.
Karen, I'm working on an audiobook myself and I'll happily send you a piece of it pre-edit- as long as you promise not to share how many flubs I make! _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow

Corey,
She's editing my stuff. She's well experienced at dealing with a ton of flubs. _________________ Be well,

Karen,
I'll happily send you some stuff! I have a couple of interesting things that would be great for variety - a phone patch session recorded in stereo with the client on the left channel and something else that would certainly give you experience in not only editing out flubs but also mouth noise (nothing like having to do a rush pick up when you're in the middle of eating!).
I'll email you my server info when I put it up there later today. Have fun with everything you get! _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Thank you everyone who's sent me or is going to send me stuff! I know all of this will be a big help. Jeff, 10 hours of audio editing would be a little too much practice, I think _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.
