You may want to keep an eye on SoundCloud if you're using them for website demos like I am. I've caught them down, usually for brief periods, but once for a whole day, and that outage was due to a denial of service attack on their site. I'm sure they're trying to avoid it, but it is a bit worrisome.

...i know i'm a dinosaur, but i've yet to be convinced that soundcloud and the like are much more than just another place to have all your data lost.

i can do that at home.

I use it mostly for SHARING audio...not parking... the player is customizable in many ways, and the social media component is excellent.

Liz turned me on to "Box" for posting files to Linkedin. It'll take video files...but only allows for download. No player function yet.

You mean box.net, right? Yes...that's a nice feature on LinkedIn. It even notifies you when someone has downloaded your demo...'doesn't say WHO...but still it's a useful metric.

With SoundCloud's "share" feature, though, you can grab a URL, and post it just about anywhere. That's handy.

Not a fan of box.net or whatever-it-is on Linked In. I like the behance portfolio feature a little bit better. Just a little.
