I noticed some time ago that my laptop had i-movie but decided that it was far too advanced a piece of software for me!
Then, some time later, I decided to create a youtube channel where I could pop on some recent voiceovers. As you can't just add audio, I realised that I was going to have to find a way to figure out i-movie! After bumbling around for a while...I created an i-movie commercial showreel!
I also have a character one that Im still working on which I will pop on my channel when complete.

If you fancy a gander, this link should get you there...

Just an idea: if you don't want to have to edit video, there's the option of just adding a frame with some text in. Let this run with the audio track and tadaa!

A properly produced reel is likely to impress a bit more, though.

the new imovie has some really cool, simple stuff and your edits are just fine - and OF COURSE you sound completely fabby. even though this reel is supposed to showcase your voice, the thing i would look at is the resolution of the images you used. if you can come up with some hi-res (300dpi) images to replace the ones that are fuzzy/pixelated it will make the whole thing easier on the eyes. if you are pulling stock images off the web look for images over 1000 px wide - even if they're 72dpi - bigger is better!

...lovely voice. fine range of talent.

is there a discussion elsewhere on the board about the best way to do these videos of what is primarily an audio demo? i've noticed a lot of talent are including these on their websites, but i'm curous as to whether the add-on video images distract from the voice.

still in all...nicely done, miss elisa!

Thank you for your comments! I think I agree that the images probably distract from the purpose of the whole thing which is obviously the voice.

Now that I sort of know what Im doing, I will have a tweak!

Thanks again x Smile
