That's great to hear Bob. I saw on Facebook that Karen had lost power- Glad to hear they dodged it.

This a major reason why I've chosen to live in Phoenix and Portland. You can write down all of each city's recorded tornadoes on an index card, in crayon. They just about never happen.

Of course I've traded from a place where you can get heat stroke going to the grocery for a place with a fair chance of an 8.0+ earthquake in the next 30 years.

And don't get me started on giant asteroids! Oy.

SO glad that everyone is safe.
I called Amanda Fellows last night, and she's OK as well.

Keep staying safe!

I never thought I'd see a tornado in Mass but we had one last year and it just missed us. I got the elderly woman from next door and we were all in the basement waiting it out. The sky was amazing but, man, I can't imagine going through that several times a year. I'm glad everyone from our vo-bb family is doing ok!

Todd,
Where near Harrisburg are you?
My entire family is from Southern Illinois - My dad is from Rosiclaire, my mom is from Cave-In-Rock - I'm related to Hardin County.
I have cousins in Equality that just missed the storm damage. So glad to hear you're okay!

this tornado season is starting WAY too early for me!

No kidding! First a wonky non-winter, now this?

We had lots of wind and rain, but thankfully no tornado. Lots of friends have headed south for the clean-up, too... Glad everyone in the VO-BB family is safe!

Todd,
NOW I am truly jealous... this Southern transplant just realized you are less than twenty minutes from some of the best fried chicken in the country... Giant City Lodge at Giant City State Park in Cobden. If you're from around there, I'm sure you've been, and If you've never been, you gotta go! They serve it family style in giant heaping platters with mashed potatoes & gravy, dumplings, green beans, corn, coleslaw, homemade biscuits, all the good stuff we're supposed to avoid! LOL

I was raised in Paducah, KY & grew up running the bluffs around Garden of the Gods & Pounds Hollow. We should get the VO-BB group together for a field trip and show them Little Egypt!

amy has in-laws in indiana - we could do faffcon ??? at the ellis compound - bring a sleeping bag and your own firearms.

we go to Giant City Lodge all the time. it's great to go after church and just graze. it's a fun place to hike with the kids too. we go to garden of the gods every fall for the colors - there are some pics here somewhere.

The fam & I will be at Cave-In-Rock Parkin June for a ginormous family fish fry - my parent's 50th anniversary.

Maybe we can have a mini-meet-up!

Hey Monk come join us!
