They both sound good actually. I really like the Rode tho. Has a warmer, richer sound to it. Thanks Rob. _________________ TG2

I agree with Tom.
The Shure mic is very good, but because your voice is naturally very crisp (that's a good thing, in my opinion) you don't need the enhancement inherent in the Shure. The Rode keeps the clarity and crispness of your voice and adds a fullness and richness which is a very nice enhancement. |

Yep, the Rode wins!
Wow! Sanka. I've not thought of that in forever, or at least since I became a coffee snob. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I like the Rode better too.
And I've always hated Sanka. |

I am a non-caffeine purist, which means I don't even drink decaf because it has a small amount of caffeine in it...so fortunately I don't have to suffer through Sanka anymore....the copy was given to me by one of my VO coaches. I think it must be from the 80s or something. It's for a TV spot.
I definitely think the Rodes sounds better, for my voice anyway. The Shure might be better for me if I need to sound younger for some reason. |
