On numerous occasions attractive female friends/colleagues have raved about "wadda fun, nice guy (INSERT NAME OF TOP LA/NYC VO TALENT) is and you guys would really get on like a house on fire". I have either been introduced or have taken a moment to introduce myself as a result of such a comment.

RESPONSES/REPLIES .....Zero. Seriously, not one.
Not angry or upset, tis the way of things.

"TOP Male VO people are not nice to Philip Banks as I look awful in a push-bra" Laugh

I suspect this is not a voiceover thing; it's a life thing.

I'm always surprised when people aren't in awe of my awesomeness, too. You learn to live with it.

I have the greatest of admiration for Larissa Gallagher who really..really wanted to meet me. When she finally got the chance to talk to MY Greatness she was not able to hide her disappointment ..RESPECT!

It's a Sheila thing.

... but, as a serious observation, most people are relatively normal, and can in no way live up to their own publicity... or worse, the publicity foisted upon them by well-meaning and enthusiastic friends/fans.

To paraphrase Gag Halfrunt... "Vell, Philip's just zis guy, you know?"

I still think Philip would make a great "World's Most Interesting Man" character ala the Dos Equis commercials....if we could just get him to inject a trifle more gravitas cool

Hmmm I seem to remember a gathering where a number of people were concerned his greatness - PB - would clash wildly with another greatness of his caliber. All were on tenterhooks awaiting the big meet. And surprise, they got along like gangbusters.

So I guess the secret is to contact people you're NOT supposed to get along with.

No such person exists so away with your nonsense. Søren Kierkegaard came near to being my equal but as he is both dead and foreign that SO doesn't count!

"What I really need is to get clear about what I must do, not what I must know, except insofar as knowledge must precede every act." He probably wrote that in Danish but it works in English just as well.

In a recent poll, 83% of those polled identified Philip Banks as the third place winner of the 2010 Glascow Scottish Curry Awards. One added "His Chicken Tika Missala should have come in first place".

The other 17% refused to answer the poll unless they had a chance to win an iPad.

It's my understanding that 68% of statistics are made up on the spot.
