A screen protector and a dry erase marker. Works like a charm.

Bringing Winky Dink into the 21st Century...woooooowwwwwwwwww. (anyone else get it??)

I installed a 24" PC monitor into my booth when I built it, swivel arm, have never used paper and can't imagine printing scripts now. OpenOffice is nice n happy. PDFs of course are great. Zooming capability is king.

No need to move to a tablet for me if I am recording at home, and on the road I'll have a laptop anyway. They're sexy of course, but my setup works great for me.

I also use the "Chris" method. Works great.

I looked into this issue last year. A deal-breaker for me was that I sometimes get scripts in PowerPoint format, and nothing at the time could read them. )

Cloud computing with the OnLive Desktop aHobo Tounge emulates the Windoz desktop. Opens all of the MS-Office suite. It is free.

I would live to get a capacitive touch screen secondary monitor. They aren't quite as cheap as I'm ready to afford just you. A 24" iPad would rock my script reading world!

+1 to 1st gen iPad (bought mine used) and +1 to the software already mentioned, including Dropbox.

I use s/keynote/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Keynote for Hobo ToungeT reading, because allows you to turn on speaker notes, which is usually the "script" I need to record. I pull the file up in Dropbox, then choose "Open In..."

Forscore has been mentioned elsewhere as a good aHobo Tounge for marking up scripts.

To be honest, if I'm live with a client (home or offsite studio), it's still pencil and paper for me.

I used the iPad mounted on my mic stand with the iKlip from IKMutimedia until I got my Whisper Room. Now I've mounted a 17" monitor along with a wireless keyboard/mouse in my booth. Downside with going paperless is, you can't mark up your copy, etc.

Why not continue to use the iPad as a script reader ( you can mark up copy with GoodReader) and use the 17" monitor/keyboard/mouse combo to monitor and remotely control the session?
