There are no bio-markers to show if a person has Parkinson's disease. Until recently the only way to test for and measure the disease was complex and expensive neurological testing. In this TED talk the presenter shows how a graphic representation of the quality of one's voice can show if someone has the disease and if so how far along it is. Irregularities in the wave form are the key. They're developing a website where you can record your voice and get quick results.
In this presentation the speaker asks for volunteers to submit samples of their voice, however they quickly got their 10,000 submissions so that's closed for now. Interesting shots of the vocal folds in action in this video:
