Yeh--
DeWitt comes in at the end of the day and will ask, "So what's new around here?"

Most of the time I think for a sec and then say "I got nuthin'."

But wait- I forgot my old boss who's now PD at W-doo-dah-day called and my pal Josphine Blowsephine wrote me an e-mail about some work blah blah blah.
The days are just a blur sometimes.

so. . . I'm logging my stuff this week.

I really ought to keep track of how many hours I spend HERE!

I've spent the last week saying 'no' to a lot of clients in order to fix a new setup for my Pro Tools rig. Yep it's the old soldering iron again doing some serious sh*t wiring patchbays and stuff. "Edo! Get Bantam TT jackfields... they're the best!" so I did...

Next time I'll buy pre-wired patchbays 'cause every 1RU has 96 sockets... times five contacts (sigh)

Furthermore I did do some voicework as well. I did a pilot for a new show on a commercial nationwide (Holland LOL!! Barely a nation and sure as hell not WIDE) TV-station over here Wink

I also won an audition for vo-ing an Imax movie (kinda proud)

This morning I received tickets for two shows by Californian vocal group Venice (http://www.venicecentral.com) and at one of the venues I got front row seats, as well as a signed copy of their just released album Amsterdam, recorded not far from where I live.

Today I go to dinner in a fancy restaurant because it's my birthday Wink

Regards from the Netherlands!

Edo

Ay yi yi. Much as I'd love to populate my last-week rundown with varied and sundry gigs & happenings, it consisted solely of work on the Audiobook That Wouldn't Die. Someday I'll stop kicking myself for taking on this job (voicing and producing, down to the music, incorporating another VO, & CD mastering) at such insanely low rates, but for now the foot is in perpetual motion.

Okay, I did send out over a hundred polite e-mails to radio station producers shopping my new imaging demo. A few replies, no bites. Spoke with my agent, agreed to update my Commercial demo for submission to an exclusive VO talent pool. No new gigs from them in the last couple of weeks.

Onward...

Not typical by any means but...

Last Friday I finished up the week delivering a master of a message on-hold production ($1,000) for a new client (plastic surgeon) and they were so pleased I was offered a free cosmetic laser surgery makeover (retail value $2,000) as an extra thank you for my efforts.

I look maaaaavaloussssssss....

I only had one voiceover last week (a training CD for Sports Authority), but that's because I'm producing a short film and we started principal photography. On top of that it was my birthday and I had family visiting so I guess that wasn't exactly a typical week. I'll probably have one of those sometime next year!

Well, Happy B-Day to you also... Must be a good month for babies (or a l-o-o-o-ng cold winter....). I have all of my three children born in this month.

Happy B-Day Rognog and many more to come...
