In light of our recent discussion about online audition sites, I just had to post this morning's most recent "opportunity":

It was prefaced by this important info (my comments in parentheses):
"I need a short script recorded as attached with this message. There are 3 characters- one male and two females. The voice of one female character is required as heard on the telephone. So we can use a single female voice and treat it to be heard like a different voice.

While recording this voice she can modulate (what?) as well. If we can save some money i do not need exactly studio quality recording- just a good quality with no ambient noise or reverbs.

Since it is a dialog i guess that both artists will have to act simultaneously. But final decision is up to you. (They could take turns acting instead, presumably) Budget does matter to us (oh really?) and we want value for money without losing quality.
Please see the attached "script". (quotes mine.)

I remember just the other day uttering these very words: "Honey, Hi, I have some bad news, Internet is not working and I need it up as I have some work pending."

Or maybe it was my robot clone.

Amy,

If there is a bright spot at the center of the universe, much commercial copy is at the farthest, darkest corner from it.

What?, Amy. People talk like that all the time!
I'm not sure where you find these people talking in such a manner. As I have not found to date anyone who would converse in what people write out what they think is correct grammer.....

Now you're just being ludicrous. Nobody would say that in quotes. They'd say it in brackets.

Thanks for sharing Amy Undecided
It is good to be creative - and a "major" project like that might have paid more than $50 bucks Wink

Clients haven't got a clue as to what they want... therefor they should refrain from being Directors.
