As if we don't have enough time-sucks, here's one that makes really clever use of Google Street View:

It wouldn't work for my address. So I put in my daughter's address in Wiscnsin.
She is really going to be pissed when she comes home from sailing today and finds her house has be erased from the face of the earth!!! |

A really interesting use of "street view".
However, I'd recommend putting in a former address of yours or someone down the street from you. As it is a State Farm Insurance dealy, I wouldn't be surprised if they're trolling for names and addresses for mailers.

In that case, I guess the family my mother sold the house I grew up in are not going to be please with the junk mail they get. Nor will the church that now occupies the building that was formerly the radio station where I used to work. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I have seen churces "repurpose" a lot of buildings.... but never a radio station.
I can't visualize any of the radio buildings I worked in ever being sutiable for such a "conversion". |

Actually, it wasn't a time suck for me. I loaded my childhood home address in Southwest Philly. I haven't been back there since 1998 when I buried my mother and closed her estate. It prompted me to do a Google Streets search and take a closer look. A mix of nostalgia and mortification. Quite evocative. _________________ www.voiceoverdrew.com

Entertaining use of Google Earth. After entering my address the commands from the mother ship must have been misinterpreted cause it blew away my neighbors house. Didn't like them anyway. _________________ Smiling is good medicine!
