Long time listener...first time poster.

I've revamped my website and am interested in your critiques, comments and suggestions.

I've gained a lot from reading the input for other sites, so I thought I might throw mine out there to see what you pros think.

In advance, thanks.

Hi, Dennis.

Man, I like it. It's super simple, super clean, and I really like the design. The diffusion and the colors seem to be a good balance with your voice.

Let's face it, almost every potential client is looking for one thing: What do you sound like? And you made it very easy for them.

And buddy........ I love your sound! Man you have a great voice and delivery. I gotta admit, I'm jealous.

Good stuff! (LOVE the voice!)

Yeah, what Scott said! Clean, clear, easy to navigate, and a FABULOUS sound!

Now for some nit-picky stuff, mostly because I can't help myself.

Home page:

Home page is written in third person, but nav bar says "Book Me."

Headline says "Put DA Voice to work for you." But there's no other indication of what DA Voice is. That adds to some confusion between:

DennisAllenVO.com - URL
Dennis Allen - Page heading
DA Voice - headline
dvoice@DenAllen.com - A new permutation of dennis/voice with a different URL.

Seems to me that a little consistency here would go a long way.

Clients page:

Punctuation re: quotation marks and periods is all over the place. Some missing, some extra, many formatted differently than others. As an example, "Periods should fall inside quotation marks."

It also seems a little strange to me that you have quotes from agents on a page called Clients. It's also odd that you're not represented by any of those agents who appear to think very highly of you. (And of course, your site visitors wouldn't think this, but it had me assuming that the quotes are from something like the Voicebank.net Weekend Workouts...meaning that they're testimonials about auditions, not about actual work...is that Kosher?)

Video page:

I could see the titles of the videos, but neither of the videos showed up, just an error message that says, "Video format of MIME type is not supported."

Book Me page:

About half of the times I clicked on it, the Book Me link took me to a HostMonster 404 error page. The rest of the time, it worked just fine.

Doug,

Thanks for the nit-pick comments. They are truly helpful.

In regards to "Book Me", I see what you're saying..and I'll get on to making it 3rd person.

I see what you're saying about the different "names" so to speak. I'm working with my site host on an issue with the email for this domain. That's why it goes to a different domain at present. I'll redo the headline.

I'll relook the header for clients. Yes, those are "audition reviews"...it was suggested I utilize them by others in the industry. But I see your "not kosher" point. We'll discuss and rethink.

I tested the videos on Firefox, Chrome and IE, as well as Android stock browser and they all worked. I have an issue with Firefox in it's preloading...we're looking at the code. I'll have someone check on Safari.

There was a coding error for the link on "Book". It has been corrected.

Thanks again for your comments.

Regarding what was said earlier about the "Clients Page"...

Perhaps change "What they said" if in fact it was not a client quote to: "Comments" or "Testimonials."

Or, perhaps a dedicated page "What others are saying"...whatever.

If anyone of note make a comment about your voice or your work and you want to promote it, I see that as totally "Koser." Just so long as it is not completely misleading.

As we all know, in advertising and sales, the idea is to accentuate the positive.

Your clips sound cracking, Dennis. Great stuff.

And I love the cheeky mic you've substituted for the "i" in Dennis!

Dennis, it looks and sounds great. One more tweak on the Book Him header might be worth considering. I'd say Book Dennis. You also don't have a Contact page. Maybe just make the Book Dennis the Contact tab? Just a thought.

Thanks all for the valuable input.

Greg: No idea on why the video doesn't work. It works fine on my phone. However, I would hope a potential client would be using at least a tablet to view my site/information.

Pam - I see what you're saying. When you click "Book Him" it takes you to a page with my agents. But on all pages my direct contact number and email are visible (email is clickable).

Again, thanks to all.

Dennis, I had to make it full screen to get it to play. Don't own a pad of any kind. A lot of us on the go take our smart phones everywhere. Not the same with pads.

No video on my laptop either. I get a tag reading "video format or MIME type is not supported". Win 8 and the latest version of Firefox.

cheers,
Andrew Fogarasi

edited to add: and because the internet likes to constantly undermine my choice of browser, the same machine plays the videos just fine using Internet Explorer. Typical.
