If the medication(s) you've tried don't seem to cut it, there is the possibility your allergies are not allergies at all.
For over 15 years, I'd been plagued by what a respected licensed allergist said were allergies.
Nope.
I just recently discovered I've been acutely dehydrated for many years, and merely drinking more water (with an appropriate amount of salt) has put all my suffering and anxiety over its effect on my voice in the past.
Read my review of the (audio)book that changed my life. The book costs very little and sells nothing more than the concept of replenishing the body with what it naturally craves.
The review was published several months ago, and I'm "feeling" even better now, although I'm still not fully hydrated yet. But there are many other reviews just like mine. If I only knew then what I know now.
Be well. Literally. _________________ Mike

Thanks Mike, I agree with you. My kid was having horrible congestion lately spurred on by the early pollen here. The only thing that worked was to put a humidifier in her room and make sure she drank water throughout the day. I was having issues with my sinuses too, so I started doing what she was doing and that's what worked.
As for salt, I also agree, in moderation. I eat a mostly vegan diet with no processed foods (except when I go to a restaurant, where anything is fair game) so I make sure to add at least a wee pinch of salt (with iodine, you need that!) here and there.
In the past year I also cut out soy and dairy. The first one made me agitated and low-energy, and the second made me feel bloated - and cheesy! Both soy and dairy are horrible for your sinuses as well. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

That's great news, Lance.
I should've further clarified about the salt. We have been programmed to believe that all salt is bad. Common table salt is bad in excess, because all of the natural minerals (except sodium chloride) have been processed out of it. The right type of salt (optimally, unrefined sea salt) helps to replenish the electrolytes necessary for normal cell function. So it is very important that the intake of salt is increased, as well; a quarter teaspoon per quart of water.
Further information on that (and more) is found on this website, authored by a certified nutrition consultant, holistic health practitioner, yoga instructor and fitness adviser, who completely supports the research that I found in November.
I can't begin to estimate how much money I wasted over the past 15 years on medications – especially decongestants, which further exacerbate dehydration, and things like air purifiers.
For any skeptics, as there is so little cost involved, this is one of those "what have I got to lose" concepts. _________________ Mike

Just had a glass with sea salt at that ratio. Delish!
Took a bath with Epsom salts this morning - does that help too? _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

I have been neti-potting using sea salt, and so far the allergies are reasonably in check, _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |
