Hi,
I did look around for fire ratings, but didn't find anything. They seem to be made of vulcanized rubber, so I guess I'll follow up on that info. So far I've found some similar mats that have class 1 and 2 protection, but nothing about these specific mats. I suppose I could ask when I go to the feed store.

Vulcanized? Well, at least they're Spock-approved. _________________ Dangerous.

Harbor Freight has 1/2" thick 24" x 24" rubber or foam, connectable squares with a good fire rating (as they are used for industrial fatigue mats) for under $10.00 USD in packs of four.
If you really need 1" thick rubber isolation mats, consider buying more and stack them.

Frank,
Yep, just ran across those. For the space I'm thinking about treating, a small horse mat would do and no shipping. But, I've seriously looked at HF, too.

I could use some led lights in my booth. Yes it is at times like easy an bake oven in there with my single overhead spot that gets pretty hot. But I heard from George that you should avoid making any unnecessary penetrations, so I've had a thought about installing led in the pre existing hole where the spot is. If there are any ideas from your experience with LEDs that throw off a good amount of light from a single penetration, I would be grateful. _________________ Bobbin Beam
