Hi all,
I haven't been here in a long time. Quite a few years ago I was actively pursuing VO work, but ended up moving back into the high-tech world for financial reasons. That served me well for a time, but I've decided to try to move back into the VO world. I'm sure much has changed, and much has stayed the same!
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi. I met several of the regulars here at VOICE 2008 (I think it was 2008 anyway), and I remember being impressed by the level of expertise here at VO-BB. I'll have a few questions about software, and hardware, and getting work, and... well, just about everything related to how things are now in VOland.
Cheers,
Rich |

Its just like riding a bike.
OK, a bike with 5 seats and in each seat is someone telling you how the bike should be ridden, which direction it should go, how fast, someone else can ride the bike better than you, and can you ride the bike with a little less air in the tires?
Other than that, its just like riding a bike. _________________ www.MarleyAudio.com |

welcome back -- nothing has changed. It's all about the quality of your work and how you keep working to master your craft.
The distribution has drastically changed -- but that's the mechanical aspect -- not the crucial part of it. _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |

Rich,
If I remember correctly, you're a rather tall fellow; if that's you then I believe we did meet at VOICE 2008. Welcome back. _________________ Be well,

This industry always welcomes you back, unlike screen acting...
And since you've been outa the loop for a while, you might find ewabs.com a helpful show covering mainly tech stuff but guests that run the gamut from producers to talent to manufacturers discussing acting, marketing, gear, personal stories, etc. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Thanks all! Glad to be back. Getting somewhat excited about getting back into this kind of work -- and somewhat apprehensive about being able to book work as well! I'll try to focus on the excited part.
Cheers,
