Yep - Reaper can be installed as usual or to a removable storage device.

Thanks for all the positive info on Reaper. I started this thread and Reaper is what I decided to go with. I downloaded it this weekend. Now I have to get my Reaper "legs".

Hooray! Reaper is fun to use, pretty easy to learn, and doesn't impose a lot of restrictions on how you configure your workspace. I do hope you like it!
