Just found out a moment ago that "Camanchango", the short animated film I narrated for a filmmaker in Chile, won an award at the first of the handful of festivals it's been entered in. Unfortunately, the automatic translation of the announcement makes very little sense to me. I'll try to get a good translation, but here it is:
"And this stays here in the Pearl! Thank you all for your kind greetings!
Camanchango winner of the first, category best Chilean film school, Festival Chilemonos 2014 (Translated by Bing)"
The video can be found here on vimeo and my noise begins right about :18.
It's also in the BANG! Awards - which looks to have very stiff competition - though very few of them have narration or any audio aside from music, actually. Kinda cool, though. _________________ Finally, Ford stops starting to say things and starts. |

Very, very nice! Cute film and very well done, especially the soundtrack.
Your narration was absolutely superb. Were you able to watch the film to narrate to it, or did you do it blind, or....? Your narration was timed wonderfully and really beautifully done. Kudos to you and the filmmakers. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Loved the voice. It had that classic storyteller vibe right from the start.
Beautifully done. Bravo! _________________ www.MarleyAudio.com |

Thanks, everybody! Means a lot.
Scott, they had the whole thing pretty much done, and subtitled. I think somebody on their end decided after it was complete that they did want a narration after all. How they decided on English for the language, I don't know. But they sent me the video with the music and I talked while I watched.
I enjoy this kind of piece - you can sound totally ridiculous, and it's okay! _________________ Finally, Ford stops starting to say things and starts. |

Well done Chris!
Congrats, and I am sure the narration was part of the reason it won a prize. _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland
