I currently use Harlan's Porta-Booth plus as my primary acoustical treatment, but I'm debating getting a second mobile booth to keep at work to cut down on travel time when I need to make pick ups or a new project comes in. Any preferences out of the carry on vocal booth, kaotica eyeball, or another HH porta-booth (plus or pro?)

As always, thanks for the input, and I hope everyone had a fun and safe fourth!

Warmest Regards,

Sean

FWIW, a friend loaned me his Kaotica Eyeball for use on an audiobook narration. I was pretty impressed with the results. My home studio isn't totally soundproof and the Eyeball eliminated many outside sounds.

Thanks, Alan! I'm leaning more toward the eyeball as more VO's chime in with positive feedback, and the best part is, I can double it up inside the Porta-booth at my home set up!

I would really like to see some scientific proff that the Eyeball does not have a low frequency resonance. My instincts tell me it does, especially for close proximity vo work.

Success with the Eyeball may also depend on the mic being used. I was using my AT 3035 with the bass roll off engaged. Was working about 6 inches from the mic.

My Eyeball actually ADDED more hum-like noise. Anyone else experience that?

As Hermes Conrad would say, "That only raises FURTHER questions!"

George, I know you're probably the only one with experience with all three. Any preferences/caveats?

Thank you for weighing in, I'm sure you know this, but you're expertise are greatly appreciated!
