|
|
I just got off the phone with Erin at EdNet and found out something that could be helpful to those who are on ATT without contracts. EDNet has contracts established with the TelCos and basically add you to their corporate billing contract (2 year commitment). They make a cut, but your rates could drop significantly depending on your situation.

I always liked working with Dave Immer, but he just doesn't have the sway/leverage that EdNet does in these sorts of cases.
Hope to hear some good news from some of you! _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Just talked to Erin. Very nice. Very helpful.
At my current AT&T rate, not enough difference to warrant shifting.
Thanks for the lead though! _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Got a quote from EDNet and the breakdown is:
1 yr membership fee $600 (due in advance)
1 supercedure of ISDN line $150 (1x charge to take over your current carrier's service)
1 Monthly Access ISDN (price is estimate, pass through of charges from
LEC) $255
1 NAF/MCI Pic Fee (Charge imposed by FCC) monthly for 2 B channels $8.82
So in a nutshell it averages to $314/month (that $600 is $50/month)
This would be a 2 year contract and rates would not vary.
Any long distance charges are applicable if you call out.
Since AT&T is charging $390/month in my area that's a savings of @$914/yr
Info is based on existing installed ISDN service at your studio.
This is actually a reasonable deal. |
