Man, that irritates me when that happens! I looked all over the country for a replacement, I even called sel.sony and couldn't get help. The problem seems to be the fact the Sony tip "screws" on. But there may be good news.
I found an old adapter from long ago replacement headphones and slipped it on the Sony's. It worked.
It isn't gold plated, it doesn't screw on, it's the cheapest part availible at any electronics dept.

Anthony....I was gonna say..I'll send you one. (there's one hanging out of the headphone jack on the cassette deck in here right now).
Good to know you found an easy source!
I remember one breaking like that along time ago. On my third set now...dog ate the last ones. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.
