The used Apogee One that I bought last year has a minor glitch that requires me to switch the input then switch it back every time I start up the control panel. I'm thinking of changing my input chain from:
R0DE NT1A -> PreSonus TubePre -> Apogee One -> MacBook Air
to:
R0DE NT1A -> Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 -> MacBook Air
Wise, unwise, or no real difference? _________________ Cheers,

Have you contacted Apogee about that glitch? |

They might still help if they know any issues like that. |

Depending on the situation, I run either a Rode NT1 or a 416 through a DBX 286 and into a 2i2, then out to a Dell laptop. The Focusrite is a very clean pre. I cant speak for the rest of the group, but for me, its a simple and clean setup. You could buy a more expensive rig, but this will serve you well. _________________ www.MarleyAudio.com |

I would change your cables. But, then again, that is me. Your mileage may vary.
