I've got the Senn 416 and I took it with me on vacation, along with my Stage Ninja MIC-12-CB Microphone Clamp Mount, only to be shocked when I discovered that the couple would not mate. :-(

On some/many? shock mounts, the threaded brass connector comes out, indeed is notched for easy dime-insert and removal. Not the case with the 416.

Do I have to purchase a different connector to attach to the mic that has a wide enough girth to fit the Ninja and other 2 table stands I have?

Thanks!

The 416's inner brass connector isn't slotted, but it does come out. At least, mine did, so I assume they all do.

Thanks, Lee. I tried to get it out with a needle nose pliers without any success.
Seems like a barbaric way to treat a thousand dollar mic. Smile
I'll call the company on Monday.

I take back what I said before. I just looked in the case and mine does have a slot for a screwdriver. And I found a second one in the case. That must have some from something else, maybe my Chinese shock mount.
