What on earth happened during my stay in the colonies?

1 - Flight in was late.
2- I was bitten on the nose by an insect which meant I looked like W.C Fields for most of the time.
3- Finals to land New Orleans near miss with another aircraft.
4-Heat rash so bad required visit to doctor.
5-Air conditioning in Chez Voiceoverist broke down.
6-VO class poorly attended, made a whacking great loss.
7- Rather than snuggle in bed spent until 2am trying to unblock a toilet.
8- Heard from producer in UK on my 2nd day in the US that the radio group no longer required my services as station voice.
9-Day before my return home discovered I had lost my passport.
10 -Seat on flight home was broken.
11 - Not one of my close personal special friends who love me very much called during my trip to ask if I was having a lovely time or afterwards to find out how it went.

Trip ruined!
Really?

1 - I didn't have to be anywhere in a hurry.
2 - It healed with help of a lotion and no one cares how I look any way.
3 - Go around and land politely on the second attempt.
4 - Visit took less than an hour and the soothing cream was fabby.
5 - Slept soundly and the following day the guys fixed it.
6 - Thoroughly enjoyed the class and so did those attending. Never intended to make any money. Just have fun..
7 - Other bathrooms were available so went to bed and got up later. Plumber called and solved the problem in less than 5 minutes.
8 - I lost ONE job, I have lots of jobs so no big deal. I leave that group of stations with a bigger audience than when I arrived. Hoorah!
9 - British Consulate solved my problem in 45 minutes.
10 - Sat and watched movies whilst being fed and watered by delightful BA staff. Customer Relations will call me in a week or so to discuss how they can make it up to me.
11 - After the VO class I attended a party in Asheville with about 15 or so people. Our hosts, Mike and Mark were a delight, the food and drink fabby, the company, wonderful. I discovered later in the week that the only reason for the party was ME. On a scale of 1 to 10 that scores 11, easily.

The best solution to a nightmare is WAKE UP, you see amazing things everywhere when fully concious.

Philip,

I love your perspective shift and I'm glad to know you enjoyed your visit to the USA. I dearly wish my schedule had permitted me to see you while you were here. Sadly, it did not.

If that fails, you can always turn it into a spork.

And you can turn a spoon into a communicator and call for transport.

Quote:
"I've made a communicator."
"You have?!"
"Yes - there are three starships in orbit; they're going to beam us out any day now."
{ shows spoon }

Spoooooooon!

you should try the mid-west --- it's like the middle east - but with fewer working toilets.
