Anyone upgrade to Izotope RX5? I've got RX4(the cheap version) and love what it did for my sound, but was wondering if anyone has tried out RX5. Any improvements big enough that would be worth the upgrade?

So far the only disappointment with RX4 is that I can't seem to make the Connect work with twisted wave. I have a sneaking suspicion that this means I'm actually missing out on the coolest part of the program, but I'm a simple girl, and all this technology overwhelms me anyway. As a side note, if it does work with Twisted Wave somehow, through a plug in or something, and I'm just missing that, I'd welcome the info!

Thanks!

I haven't tried using Connect in TW. I just use the parts of RX5 (upgraded from 4) I need in my batch process. I should try the batch process in RX but I am so used to TW that I kinda don't want to. I really like and get use out of RX5 but I imagine its like owning a Ferrari and never taking it about 65 mph...at least the way I use it! HAHA

I`m in the same boat you are, Heather. I just got RX 4 last year, and I don`t feel I`m anywhere close to unlocking its mysteries and utilizing its full potential. Having missed the promo price, I also dont`t want to pay full retail now, haha. I`m sure you`re not missing out too much if you don`t upgrade. Now when RX 6 rolls around...

By the way, if you`re not already a member of the Izotope RX audio enhancement, repair, and rescue Voiceover Group (I probably butchered that title, but brain isn`t firing on all cylinders right now.) I highly recommend it! Don Baarns is a huge help, and he helped me lock in a great price for RX 4 thru his sweetwater connect, Jason Koons!

Thanks to you both! It's good to know I'm not the only one using RX to it's fullest potential Smile

And thanks for the facebook tip. I hadn't heard of that group but will definitely check it out!
