"make dinner for my friends and I"???
Why have we abandoned our knowledge of 3rd grade grammar?
(I apologize for the sidetrack and rant, but I'm really tired of seeing this trend towards incorrect use of grammar which seems to be everywhere we turn nowdays.) _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Scott,
Clearly you shouldn't be so orientated to 3rd grade grammar. _________________ David Marcus Gibson

What Scott said.
I'm just relieved this common blunder wasn't committed by someone whose livelihood is based on words. _________________ Mike

Maybe David was pulling a Bear Grylls? After all, navigating grammar can be so disorientating. _________________ "There's Magic all around us; you just have to see it. And the most wonderful Magic of all, is just bein' alive." -Uncle Montork, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe |

Bailey, that just made me laugh out loud. You people crack me up
I know this thread has been hijacked, but I am curious if Eddie's friend actually posted that reply?
And if so, any response?
Because it's brilliant.
On the ACX forum one narrator was speaking of negotiations with an author, and when she asked for a stipend along with royalty share, the author responded that it was absurd for her to ask for that. After all, he didn't get paid up front to write the book, why should she be paid to read it?
Astounding. _________________ Heather

My friend who is a musician is the one who showed it to me. He is/was not the original poster.
As for all you threadjackers that are not displaying the Local 420 you are now fined a mandatory blunt or store credit at a fine retail establishment in Washington or Oregon payable to me. |

They could be non-union threadjackers, but their threadjacks have no residual effect. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

all local 420 dues may be paid to me via check made out to:
Community Association Supporting Halters
i know that's a lot to write on a check - so you can just use the initials. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
