I had a SC session two days ago that had to be postponed because we couldn't hold the connection longer than two minutes. SC support opined that sometimes Apple products have problems (even though the day before they assisted in mapping my Apple Extreme router and mentioned nothing about the trouble with Apple.
I replaced my Extreme with a reset five year old Cisco/Linksys E1000, and the next day ran the same session with no trouble. The session lasted around 40 minutes.
Is anyone aware of SC's problem with Apple, or vice-versa?

That must be Tech Support Rule #1: whenever two or more manufacturer's products are involved, the fault must lie in the other guy's stuff. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Yeah... it always amazes me when people like SC (and most egregiously, ProTools) state that, "the operating system is not compatible with our product".
The simple fact is that (especially with operating systems) developers get plenty of warning of the updates and also get developer copies of the OS to make sure all is OK. When a software manufacturer consistently forces users into not upgrading to the latest OS, it is pretty obvious that their code is a patchworked hodgepodge of band-aids and fixes that even they don't understand properly any more... forcing them into a long-cycle fix and a "let's see what breaks and then fix it" attitude.
This attitude is enabled by the fact that the software is usually the lynchpin of someone's business and it's far too difficult for the customer to change their operating environment. They are over a barrel... and the software company knows it. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Yes, the Apple Extreme router shaped like a silo had problems until the latest SC update... I had to stop recommending them... _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

George:
I'm using SC 3.8.2...build 3.8.2.0.151110.1245. Isn't that the latest SC update?

Yep,
I had to replace my Apple router because of this exact issue. _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!
