I said: "Self, no more new projects for the next 3 months." But here I am ready to fabricate one more custom widget.

I could use whatever parts you may have from an EV 309A shock mount. (That's the one that works with the EV RE20.) What I really need is that u-shaped bracket with the connector to a mic stand thread, and hopefully the square frame that pivots at the other end of the u-shaped bracket.

(I would post a picture of my studio, but the people who own the copyrights for Fibber McGee's closet and the Sanford and Son TV set have threatened legal action if I do!) cool

I don't know how much you're willing to spend, but I came across one last night on eBay:

This one's a better deal (some assembly required):

Yes, I saw those two. The $50 "ripens" right away.

The other one will be out there a week or so before you know where you are and I have a bid on it. You can buy a new one for $100 or just above if you shop around so the $50 is a possibility. But the thought of waiting a few days and getting out of Dodge for maybe $20 tugs at my wallet.

I have to quit eating strange foods just before bedtime which results in these middle-of-the-night brain storms.

Thanks for the "heads-up".
