Over the years I've played hundreds of real and fictional people, many dozens of animals, and quite a few inanimate objects. To date however, just one leaf on the cusp of eternity.

My role: leaf #2.

If an acting coach asks if I've ever played a tree, I can answer, "well, sort of..."

A few years back, an animator I work with had me voice a demo he made for one of those companies that makes gadgets that are supposed to keep leaves out of your gutters. I played the two leaves having a conversation. One leaf was named Oakey and the other, in typical demo fashion, was named Fred. I tried (unsuccessfully) to get him to change the second leaf's name from Fred to Russell. I don't think he got it.

Dood! Put that on you're reel and you'll be raking it in. No casting director will leaf you alone as talent never falls far from the tree. Anyone who uses another voice will be barking up the wrong tree because they should be booking the evergreen voice. If you want to stem the growth because it's too mulch just say you're looking Forrest.

Now ....STOP IT!
