Kevin is the organizer of Vox on the Rocks Portland!, our local VO social group which is up to 95 members now. Glad to see you here Kevin, as well at our local watering holes... one of which we go to regularly called The Radio Room. Natch.

A little late, but hello!
my voice over name is Saffron Maddison. I work in local TV on cameras and producing, I'm softly spoken and mumble quite a bit except when I'm in front of a microphone.
Most of my colleagues don't recognise me when I do voice overs or believe it even is me half of the time, so now my voice has it's own name 
I live with a VO artist, surrounded by radio people, continuity announcers and presenters and secretly always wanted to be the announcer on WWE  So I've been secretly listening and practicing for a lot of my adult life.
I did bits of VO for my job for a nearly a year (tv and radio ads) but enjoyed it so much I started producing continuity for my local station and doing VO for a few others.
I'm still really new to this, with my day job making the telly pictures. But whilst I'm working I'm hoping to skill up on the VO side of things to keep in my back pocket as an extra skill in this oh so stable world of media
I usually join forums like this with something to give back, but I don't really have that much knowledge at the mo, I am a total n00b. Apologies.
But if anyone needs help with video editing, filming, visual storytelling. I can be useful and happy to help |
